Mission US wins at the Serious Play Awards and Public Media Awards
Mission US recently received two awards honoring excellence in educational media.
No Turning Back received a Gold Medal at this year’s International Serious Play Awards. Team members demonstrated the game at the Serious Play Conference in Toronto, which hosted game developers, academics, educators, and other practitioners from around the world.
The game also won an award for Best Educational Resource for the Classroom from NETA at the 55th Annual Public Media Awards, garnering the following praise from one of the competition judges:
“For me, this is a grand slam out of the park in all ways. Incorporating such serious content in an interactive game that connects students not just to gaming aspects but to the ideals, concepts, and quite honestly difficult subject matter is outstanding. As I went through these videos and the website, I kept thinking: WE NEED THIS FOR HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE COURSES! The fact that there are educator resources built in, it’s age appropriate – just wow. I wish I could have this for Biology, Environmental Science and Anatomy & Physiology. Great job!“
